Once a place of robber barons, then discovered by romantics, the Bastei is now a top tourist attraction. The Bastei view offers a unique panorama with views of Lilienstein and Königstein. A 76.5-metre-long bridge crosses the rock formation, while the Bastei Bridge in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains offers a fantastic view. The bridge leads to the ruins of the Neurathen rock castle, the largest medieval rock castle in the region.
