Please note that Dresden levies an accommodation tax of 6% on all accommodation services, this also applies to the final cleaning and the fee for pets.
The state capital of Dresden will levy an accommodation tax from July 1, 2015.
In principle, all visitors to the city who stay overnight in Dresden for a fee in hotels, inns or guesthouses, vacation accommodation or similar places of accommodation as well as on campsites are liable to pay accommodation tax, unless a tax exemption applies in exceptional cases. Overnight stays on motorhome sites are taxable if special sanitary facilities are offered.
Accommodation in guest rooms or vacation apartments whose operators provide fewer than five places (guest beds) in total within the city area of Dresden is not subject to accommodation tax (this regulation does not apply to campsites and motorhome pitches).
